Rutherford/Yountville

Start at the famous Bouchon Bakery (the Salted Caramel Latte and Pan Au Chocolate are WORTH the wait), then walk down Washington Street, explore inside V Marketplace. Visit the local clothing stores, cooking specialty shops, and small local wineries. Continue your walk down to Yountville Park – wander into the cemetery to visit the graves of early settlers. From the park, hop on the trolley (it’s free!) and ride it all the way around for a tour of the town from the Veteran’s Home to the beautiful wineries. Take it back to the park or hop off in town to head back to JCB Tasting Salon and sample the varieties of sparkling wine. You can grab a meat and cheese platter to go or, if you’re lucky, find Addendum, a sometimes pop-up restaurant behind the famed Ad Hoc – order the fried chicken and the housemade lemonade. If you stay long enough, end your day with cocktails and queso at R + D Kitchen’s outdoor lounge.
