Aside from a semester abroad, and one year in Davis, California, Randi has lived in Sonoma County her entire life. She started life off in the country, right off 128 in Sebastapol, down the road from Mom’s Apple Pie.
Her family has lived in this community since they settled to ranch the pastureland of Two Rock, in the late 1800’s. They must have found something here that reminded them of their Swiss home; perhaps the lush, rolling, green, oak tipped, hills, with fog, bathing low-valley basins on the tipping points of each day.
Randi met her husband in kindergarten, where she impressed him with her ability to sit quietly during circle time and not hit, kick or punch (his words!). They now raise three daughters, ages 11, 10, and 3 in Santa Rosa. (The last babe was one of the last born in the same place as her mama: the former Community hospital.)
Randi loves the two degrees of separation that binds us wine country residents to each other. Her 4 generations of Sonoma County heritage is a large part of why she’s passionate about building a better wine country community for parents.
