Walk-In Wednesday: Free Monthly Open House at Connolly Ranch

June 6, 2018

Once a month, the ranch is open for the public to stroll in, visit the garden, relax in the grove, see the animals, and enjoy an afternoon on the farm! During our open community day, Connolly Ranch welcomes old friends to visit and new friends to discover us for the first time. Walk-in Wednesdays are held the first Wednesday of every month from 2 – 4 p.m. in the winter, and from 3 – 5 p.m. in the spring, summer and fall. This event is free, but there is a $5 suggested donation to help us keep it going. Each month, the ranch will play host to different farm activities hosted by our staff as well as the UC Master Gardeners. It is also a great time to learn about Connolly Ranch programs, events, and volunteer opportunities.

2nd Annual Napa Valley RoséFest

RoséFest will feature 30+ of Wine Country’s finest wineries, along with several of the Bay Area’s best restaurants, providing rosé lovers an opportunity to sample the best that Wine Country has to offer while supporting one of the most important causes of our time: breast cancer education, research funding, and patient support.

2018 Sonoma County Pride Festival

This year’s Sonoma County LGBTQI Pride theme is “Together We Rise”. The idea behind the theme is to combat hateful rhetoric and policies of the current national political leadership and to stand behind the people of the community who feel threatened by the words and actions of others who have been emboldened by the last election. The event will also embrace people who have been traumatized and dislocated after our recent tragic fires.

Food Truck Cinema: Grease

Spinner’s Day on the Farm

Please save the date for our annual Spinner’s Day on the Farm. This is a wonderful, family-friendly event at a local ranch. Come see the spinning circle, peruse the yarn and fiber goods. There will be climate beneficial goat milk soap and lotion, sheep skins, raw fiber, wool comforters, and so much more! 100% locally grown and made. All of these products are from animals grazed on local pastures, ethically treated and cared for. Well-loved animals make some amazing fiber! We hope to see you there! Year of the Dog – Doghouse Days of Summer

June 15, 2018

Watch local artists paint and decorate a variety of real doghouses. Once painted, the doghouses will be on display through September 29, when they will be auctioned off to raise money for families displaced by the Sonoma County wildfires. Come see their progress and bid on the perfect home for your favorite pup! Also, make your own Snoopy or Faron the Cat ears to wear in the Education Room all day. Look for special Year of the Dog activities and collect a different Snoopy button on the third Saturday of every month.

Museum Mondays for Little Ones: Charles Schulz Museum

Enjoy stories, arts and craft activities, and movement games Mondays at the Museum. Activities are designed for children ages 1 – 5 and their caregivers. Museum Mondays are held EVERY Monday from October – February and on the LAST Monday of every month from March – September. Cost: $5 per child; free for those displaced by fires. Up to 2 adults per child are free before 11 a.m. After 11 a.m., regular Museum admission applies.

Summer Nights on the Green Concert Series 2018

June 2018, Every Thursday Night

Now in its 17th season, Windsor’s signature summer event is a 2-hour free concert on the Town Green, with a family-friendly atmosphere. Come hungry! There are many food booths and restaurants surrounding the Town Green from which to choose. Parking is available at Windsor High School, with round-trip shuttle to the Town Green. Spots on the grass may be reserved beginning at 6 a.m. the morning of the concert.
