:Napa:

Walk-In Wednesday: Free Monthly Open House at Connolly Ranch

May 2, 2018

Once a month, the ranch is open for the public to stroll in, visit the garden, relax in the grove, see the animals and enjoy an afternoon on the farm! During our open community day, Connolly Ranch welcomes old friends to visit and new friends to discover us for the first time. Walk-in Wednesdays are held the first Wednesday of every month from 2-4 pm in the winter, and from 3-5 pm in the spring, summer and fall. This event is free but there is a $5 suggested donation to help us keep it going. Each month, the ranch will play host to different farm activities hosted by our staff as well as the UC Master Gardeners. It is also a great time to learn about Connolly Ranch programs, events and volunteer opportunities.

Save the Redwoods Curated Hikes at Bothe Napa Valley State Park

The Napa Open Space District congratulates the Save the Redwoods league on celebrating 100 years of protecting redwood forests. Join the festivities with free park passes (go to standfortheredwoods.org for your pass) to Bothe Napa Valley State Park on the second Saturday of each month throughout 2018 and take part in curated hikes!

Kids to Parks Day is a nationwide day of outdoor exploration and play, organized by the National Parks Trust. Celebrate locally with us at Howarth Park! Take a self-directed Scavenger Hunt through the park to reveal the location of the secret prize and enjoy treats and activities along the way! Event is FREE! All ages are welcome to participate, but the Scavenger Hunt was created with the intention of being age-appropriate for kids ages 6-12. Enjoy stories, arts and craft activities, and movement games Mondays at the Museum. Activities are designed for children ages 1 – 5 and their caregivers. Museum Mondays are held EVERY Monday from October – February and on the LAST Monday of every month from March – September. Cost: $5 per child; free for those displaced by fires. Up to 2 adults per child are free before 11:00 a.m. After 11:00 a.m., regular Museum admission applies.

Windsor Green Half Marathon, 10k, 5k, & Festival

Join us on Sunday, May 20, 2018 for the Windsor Half Marathon, 10K & 5K. The races will start and finish on the Windsor Town Green in downtown Windsor, and the course winds through the picturesque back roads of Sonoma County. The Windsor Fire Department will serve their famous pancake breakfast, and a new post-race festival featuring local beer, wine and food vendors will follow the race.
