These days, having a good meal and sharing that post-worthy food is equally important.
Santa Rosa has some great post-able spots where you’ll want to plan your mom date ASAP. Whether its a quick meet-up, coffee, or dinner, these five spots will not only serve up some scrumptious delights, but their decor and fare are highly photogenic.
The interior design of this location is a minimalistic mix of modern farmhouse and Sonoma county rustic. A sleek milk-white subway tile wall allows for the perfect backdrop to photograph the beautiful microfoam heart-topped leaf on your latte. Also, they occasionally feature housemade mouth-watering doughnuts with flavors such as Meyer lemon and matcha. When you have time to sit down and enjoy a cup instead of hitting the drive-thru, this spot should be on the top of your list.
City Garden Doughnuts & Coffee
Yes, more coffee and doughnuts, but these doughnuts are the star of this hip spot. Doughnut flavors such as elderflower on brioche, huckleberry glazed, and Guittard chocolate glazed with rainbow sprinkles have got us drooling. They also have a ton of other baked goods like banana bread, savory scones, and muffins. The coffee from Ukiah’s Black Oak Coffee Roasters is also quite tasty. When you visit you’ll want to post all the donuts to make all your followers jealous.
The Parish Cafe
If you love cajun food, then this is the place for you. I have never been to Louisiana, but I imagine that eating at this restaurant is like eating there. You’ll want to post the fresh beignets, blackened catfish po’ boy sandwiches, and mouthwatering red beans and rice along with many other delicious options. Also, the cafe offers a breakfast menu with offerings like benedicts and pain perdu, who doesn’t love to brunch and post?
Perch & Plow
Perfectly made cocktails, an amazing menu, and modern decor are all equally postable at this gorgeous new restaurant. The refreshing Paloma rimmed with a smoky salt and the baked brie with honeycomb and bruleed strawberries will have me coming back again and again. This restaurant’s space is up on the second story overlooking the beautifully redone courthouse square downtown and is definitely a new favorite on my list.
Bird and the Bottle
Opened in 2015, this restaurant is one of six belonging to Mark & Terri Stark who also own Willi’s Wine Bar. This hip spot has an eye-catching open kitchen and two decks for guests to dine. Instead of drinks, they have a “booze” menu with some delicious concoctions featuring drinking vinegars, mezcal, and bourbons. Also, the food menu has something for everyone with flavors from around the world like Korean BBQ’d half chicken and smoked pork belly street tacos. The tavern-like vintage house is the perfect backdrop to photograph and post your fare and make all of your friends have FOMO.
These five divine locations aren’t just for a mom date, of course, they’re perfect for any occasion.
I just hope that you’re able to hire a sitter or get your partner to cover in order get out and enjoy some much deserved time away. Santa Rosa has so many great options out there for dining, book a reservation for yourself at one this week!
